Sunshine Ministries
Our mission field is all around us and while we may never step foot into another country, our church is reaching the people in Haiti and the Dominican Republic through Sunshine Ministries. With the help of volunteers, Sunshine Ministries is able to show God's love in many ways. With the help of local pastors in the area, they are providing feeding programs, support for education and repairing homes. They are God's hands extended to a world in need.
Hagerstown Soup Kitchen
Every Wednesday morning from 10am-12noon yummy smells waft from the gym under the Hagerstown Presbyterian Church where locals can come to get a hot meal, clothing and fellowship. We are able to provide clothing, scarves, hats, gloves and hand-made blankets. In addition, when available, we hand out toiletries. It is a joy to be able connect with people in need and be able to alleviate some hardships. All items are collected by donations from the generous hearts of the congregation.
Human Services Programs of Carroll County, INC.
We never know what situations we may face in this life and while we know Jesus is our hope, there are times we need the help of others. Human Services Programs of Carroll County, Inc. is a non-profit Community Action Agency that was originally founded in 1987 by Sylvia Canon Haines. Over the past 30 years, HSP developed programming to meet the unique needs of Carroll County residents struggling with poverty. Each of their eighteen current programs was created in response to an unmet need in the community.
While we cannot meet every need, we can be God’s hands extended with our support.
